IOLANTHE (She/Her)

Afro-Caribbean / Australian artist Iolanthe is an actor, writer, model and self-proclaimed socialite. Spending almost all of her childhood living in England, with a Norwegian-German parent, Iolanthe’s artistry is impacted by understanding the mixing of cultures and creative landscapes. In both her life and work, she tends to examine her role in society, refining the purpose of her creative talent into plays, performances, creative direction, styling, essays.
Iolanthe is a recent NIDA graduate (BFA Acting 2022), leaving her class with the annual Lesley Walford AM Award of excellence, taking her to study method acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York last year. Her Australian mainstage theatre scene debut occurred while she was still at NIDA, as ‘Kara’ in the acclaimed touring production of Seven Methods of Killing Kylie Jenner(co-directed by Shari Sebbens & Zindzi Okenyo). She then began drafting her debut play ‘SISTREN’ at the Australian Playwrights Transform ‘Untold Stories’ residency, finishing with development funding to produce the next draft. During the continual progression of her literary work, Iolanthe began to work on screen; ModiBodi’s global campaign ‘I’m Dying Inside’, Joe Lycett’s short film ‘MARK’, Al Kalyk’s feature film ‘Cruel Hands’. In 2023 Iolanthe was cast in Season 7 of Netflix’s award-winning show ‘Black Mirror’ as ‘Pixie Bunkin’. Her next TV release will be later this year in STAN Original’s ‘He Had It Coming’.
JANET ANDERSON (She/Her)

Janet Anderson graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in 2022, having previously studied at Newtown High School of Performing Arts. In 2022 Janet was cast as “Simone” in the Paramount Plus television series THE LAST KING OF THE CROSS (SEASON ONE) alongside Lincoln Younes and Tim Roth. Her other television credits include the ABC series REEF BREAK, the television adaptation of Brendan Cowell’s novel PLUM, and the second season of THE LAST KING OF THE CROSS. Janet starred in the one-woman play COLLAPSIBLE to rave reviews. She also performed in the theatre production MERCURY FUR, directed by Kim Hardwick, and the critically acclaimed OVERFLOW, directed by Dino Dimitriadis. Her most recent play was ALL THE FRAUDULENT HORSE GIRLS at the Old Fitz Theatre. Janet’s upcoming theatre projects for 2025 include ORLANDO for Belvoir. Janet is also a changemaker and vocal advocate for transgender rights, she has written op- eds for Vogue, Fashion Journal and been interviewed for the ABC. Janet was also the winner of the 2024 Time Out Sydney Critics Choice and People’s Choice Awards for her performance in OVERFLOW.

Ian Michael, a proud Noongar man and WAAPA graduate. He is a Resident Director at Sydney Theatre Company and has directed Picnic at Hanging Rock, Stolen and Constellations. He has served as Associate Director on productions including The Picture of Dorian Gray, Dracula, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Sweat, The President, The Seagull and The 7 Stages of Grieving. In 2025, he directed the world premiere of Big Girls Don’t Cry at Belvoir. His directing credits for Black Swan State State Theatre Company include The Bleeding Tree (with The Blue Room), as Associate Director include The Cherry Orchard, and Skylab (with Yirra Yaakin).
As an actor, Ian has performed with companies including Sydney Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company, Black Swan State Theatre Company, Malthouse, Melbourne Theatre Company, and Ilbijerri. His writing credits include York (with Chris Isaacs), HART (with Seanna van Helten), and Another Day in the Colony.
He has received numerous awards and nominations, including multiple Sydney Theatre Award nominations for Constellations and Stolen, and PAWA and Blue Room Awards for The Bleeding Tree, along with recognition from CHASS, Green Room Awards, and Fringe Festivals.
EMMA WHITE (She/Her)

Emma White is a set and costume designer for stage and screen. Emma is a graduate of NIDA’s Master of Fine Art Design course and has a Bachelor of Fine Art in Sculpture from UNSW Art and Design. In 2019, Emma was nominated for an APDG Award for Best Emerging Designer.

She was costume design assistant for PM’S DAUGHTER (ABC) and MR INBETWEEN S3 (Foxtel), and set designer for Shannon Murphy’s short film FRACTAL with AJE. Emma has worked as production designer and costume designer on numerous TVCs.

Daniel Herten (he/they) is a Sound Designer, Video Designer, Composer, and Creative Technologist working across live performance and interactive media. Living in Fiji, China and Thailand before Australia - Daniel now collaborates on Bidjigal and Gadigal land to tell stories. Their work explores the way audiences interface with stories, focusing on how emerging technologies can be integrated in real-time to enhance the two-way discussion between ourselves and our art.

My name is Adetokunbo (TK) Abioye, and I am an up and coming video designer based in Sydney.
As a recent graduate at NIDA, I have had the privilege to work on a number of video based shows, including Alice: Mother of Cinema, and Seen. I've also had the chance to work with the video systems and design teams on Dracula to learn more and hone my skills as I learnt more about the industry.
I also work in stage and company management, and have been working and learning with the team at MJ the Musical.

Dylan Van Den Berg is a Palawa writer and dramaturg, originally from the northeast of lutruwita/Tasmania. As a dramaturg, recent credits include: for Griffin Theatre Company: Nucleus, SISTREN (Griffin LookOut); for ILBIJERRI Theatre Company: 10 in 10 Play Festival, Nan’s Place; for Queensland Theatre: Burning House; for The Street Theatre: A Better Tomorrow. As a playwright, recent credits include: for Griffin Theatre Company/Sydney Theatre Company/La Boite: Whitefella Yella Tree; for The Street Theatre: Milk, The Chosen Vessel; for the National Institute of Dramatic Art: All that Glitters is Not Mould; for Belco Arts: Ngadjung; for FlickFlick City/Hobart Fringe: The Camel. For his writing, he has received the Griffin Award, two AWGIES, the David Williamson Prize, two NSW Premier’s Literary Awards and was shortlisted for the Bruntwood International Playwriting Prize. Cris Chavez (they/them) is a theatre technician based in Dharawal Country (Wollongong), specialising in stage management, sound operation, lighting operation, and set construction. Cris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Performance and Theatre: Theatre Making from the University of Wollongong and continues to develop their craft across a range of theatrical productions and has worked with companies including Belvoir St Theatre, Merrigong Theatre, Shopfront Arts Co-Op, Brand X, and the University of Wollongong.

Leila Enright (She/Her) is a creative producer with a strong commitment to new writing. She is the Creative Producer of Green Door Theatre Company, which develops work (Orange Thrower that is now in the Griffin 2021 season and Lady Tabouli that was in the 2020 Sydney Festival). She produces award-winning theatre If We Got Some More Cocaine I Could Show You How I Love You by John O’Donovan, Lady Tabouli and Omar and Dawn both by James Elazzi, How Dare You by Kate Chalmers and Good Dog by Arinzé Kene. She has been the Senior Producer at Griffin Theatre Company, and the Producer and Head of New Writing at the Darlinghurst Theatre Company. She has produced the 2018 National Play Festival, was the Associate Producer at Playwriting Australia and Playwrights Associate for Festival Fatale 2018. Leila began working in independent theatre in Melbourne, as the Artistic Director of FLW Theatre Company and General Manager. She has been involved in the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Short and Sweet and Mudfest as a producer and performer. Leila has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Literature and History, a Certificate in Classics from London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and a Diploma in Community Arts and Cultural Development. Leila is a 2020 Churchill Fellow, and is on the board of Milk Crate Theatre.

Bernadette Fam (She/Her) is an interdisciplinary dramaturg, director and theatre-maker. As an artist, Bernadette is passionate about exploring the intricacies of identity, belonging and cultural connection in Australia’s current socio-economic landscape and de-colonising processes of new work development. From 2022-2024, Bernadette worked as the New Work Manager for Malthouse Theatre. Previously, she has been a Literary Associate for Belvoir Theatre Company, a Griffin Studio artist and is a Creative Producer at Green Door Theatre Company. As Director, Bernadette directed the award-winning Masego Pitso in Chewing Gum Dreams by Michaela Coel (Green Door Theatre Company/Red Line Productions), Blacklisted (Rogues Projects/Hayes Theatre Company) and Hometowns (Q Theatre). She has directed new work developments for Malthouse Theatre, Green Door Theatre Company, Critical Stages Touring and Griffin Theatre Company. She has also assistant directed on productions at Sydney Theatre Company, Malthouse Theatre, Hayes Theatre Company and National Theatre of Parramatta. As Dramaturg, Bernadette has worked with a range of companies including but not limited to: Sydney Theatre Company, Malthouse Theatre, Playwriting Australia, Western Edge, PYT Fairfield, Sydney Chamber Opera, Poetry in Action, Critical Stages Touring, Green Door Theatre Company, Rogues Projects and Antipodes Theatre.

Janine Lau (She/Her) is a Creative Producer living and working on Gadigal and Wangal land. She was previously the Programs Producer at Griffin Theatre Company, Associate Producer at Contemporary Asian Australian Performance (CAAP), and Associate Producer/Administrator at Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP).
Most recently, Janine produced the Australian premiere of Michaela Coel’s Chewing Gum Dreams at the Old Fitz Theatre for Green Door Theatre Company. In 2021, Janine produced the award-winning season of David Henry Hwang's Yellow Face at Kings Cross Theatre for Dinosaurus Productions. Other theatre credits include Iphigenia in Splott (New Ghosts Theatre Company), I’ve Been Meaning to Ask You (ATYP & The Good Room & Critical Stages) and Follow Me Home (ATYP & Griffin).
