HOUSE OF ROT
By Dino Dimitriadis & Victoria Faloner

World Premiere

Beauty fades. Madness sings.
A house is falling in on itself. Outside, the world is burning and forgetting.
Two bodies stand in the wreckage and call it beautiful.

Inspired (loosely, dangerously) by the fractured myths Grey Gardens, this new queer creation from director Dino Dimitriadis and musical director Victoria Falconer is part theatre, part cabaret, part invocation, part live gig. HOUSE OF ROT isn’t a return to the Beales but an encounter with what they made possible: living inside collapse.

Paul Capsis and Adam Noviello carry it between them, through new music and iconic ballads, shifting, resisting, giving in.

HOUSE OF ROT is a reckoning with legacy, survival, and the spaces we inherit when no one’s looking. A rupture. An unholy communion. An elegy in heels. Because spectacle is how we survive the smoke. Because grief and fury, if left untouched, will eat through the floor

  • Deepest gratitude to all the Black and Trans women who came before us. It is an honour to exist in their lineage of strength, excellence and beauty.

This work was uplifted, supported and worked on by so many loved ones within community. words cannot express how fulfilling it was to have this project empowered by the very same people (mostly artists) that impact the world I wrote it for.
